buildroom ("buildroom", "we", "us") runs a remote, cohort-based program for students who want to build startups. this policy explains what we do with the information you give us.

information we collect

when you apply or get in touch, we may collect:

• your name and contact details (such as email).
• links you choose to share, like your linkedin, github, portfolio, or projects.
• the answers you provide in the application form, including your track, background, and proof of work.
• basic technical information your browser sends automatically, used to keep the site secure and working.

how we use your information

we use the information you share to:

• review and evaluate your application.
• contact you about your application, the cohort, and the program.
• operate, improve, and secure buildroom.

we do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties except the trusted services we use to run buildroom (see below).

where your data is stored

applications and related data are stored using supabase, our database and authentication provider. we use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is fully secure.

data retention

we keep application data for as long as needed to evaluate and run our cohorts. you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

your choices

you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. we'll do our best to respond promptly.
